We've been back aboard Artemis at Limehouse for over a week now. The first 4 or 5 days are the hardest as we adjust to jetlag:-) Since we haven't written since Christmas I'll give a quick update on our USA travels. We had atleast 2-3 weeks with each of our sons families enjoying our grand children. We try to break up our vis

April 25, 2014 England | Levington | Suffolk Yacht Harbor Hi Family and Friends,
Well we're still at Suffolk Yacht Harbor but one step closer to being able to leave. We got the generator running finally on Monday. It just seems every little thing we try to do turns into time...and money... Dropping one special bolt into the bilge resulted in hours of searching for it and ultimately resulted in cleaning the bilge before it was found. We went to an OCC (Ocean Cruising Club) ga
England | London | Big Ben and Parliment March 12, 2014 Hi Family and Friends,
We've had fantastic weather this spring in London. Mostly dry days and at least partial sunny days with temps 50's or higher. Much nicer weather than all the cold and snow in Minnesota and Chicago. We've had some great lunchtime concerts at St. Martin-in-the-Fields. We go a couple of times a week. Much of our visit depends on when baby Lucy arrives. She is scheduled for Jan. 23 and Justin and Chris have asked us to be with Sara while Mom and Lucy are in the hospital. We'll spend
October 24, 2013 Hi Family and Friends,
We spent 2 rainy days at anchor in Stangate on the Medway River and then 3 days in Chatham. We visited two excellent museums near the harbor. The Historic Dockyards Museum took every bit of 6 hours to do it justice. We had a wonderful one hour tour of the Victorian Ropery where rope was made for the old ships and rope can still be ordered from there today. Our guide was dressed and acted the part of the manager of the Ropery in 1870's.
England | London | Royal Albert Hall Hi Everyone, We've had a busy fun week with Connie and Steve arriving on Wednesday! No RAIN and morning blue skies only because it's been too cold to rain:-) Wednesday March 27 We picked Connie and Steve up at Heathrow airport, had a late lunch aboard Artemis and took them for a nice long walk to get them geared up for their time in London. We walked over the beautiful Tower Bridge next to our marina to gaze upon the Tower of London and th
December 5, 2012 Hi Everyone, Saturday we took a train into the Kent countryside to Borough Greens and hiked for about 10 miles to Sevenoaks. We had a beautiful day hiking through villages, along streams, woodland paths, some muddy bridleways and pastures. Lots of sheep, some llamas, pheasants, horses and cows. Actually we walked through several pastures of sheep and when hiking through Knole Park we encountered hundreds of deer. It started misting when we stopped for lunch a
